Carolyn GoodrichCarolyn L. Goodrich, 73, of Rushville died at 6 a.m. Nov. 23, 2016, at her home.

She was born Feb. 18, 1943, in Wichita, Kan., a daughter of A. Lee and Lois C. Sias Spencer. She grew up in the Kansas vicinity and then moved to Kerrville, Texas, when she was age 18. She married Joseph L. Goodrich on July 8, 1968, in Long Beach, Calif. He survives.

Also surviving are five children, Jerry Lee (and Vicki) Goodrich of Kansas City, Mo., Janna Ann (and Cliff) Williams of Wichita, Kan., Craig Scott (and Jody) Goodrich of Havana, Andrew Joel (and Kimberly) Goodrich of Rushville and Robert Delano (and Amy) Goodrich of Green Bay, Wis.; one brother, Robert Eugene (and Sarah) Spencer of Chanute, Kan.; one sister, Clarice L. Reinhardt of Chanute, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Richard Spencer.

She worked at the Kerrville State Hospital in Kerrville, Texas, as an executive housekeeper at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo., Mason District Hospital in Havana and Schmidt Memorial Hospital in Beardstown. She was the coordinator at the HELP Center in Rushville for seven years. Later, she was a caseworker and receptionist for the RSVP Program in Rushville. She was a volunteer with St. Alexius Catholic Church in Beardstown and also Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice. She represented the Navy Fleet Wives of America in Washington, DC.

Services were held Saturday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend Fred Fritz officiating. Private burial was in the Hughes Cemetery, near Rushville.
