Rosina GreenleeRosina Baer Greenlee, 84, of Rushville died at 5:15 a.m. Jan. 26, 2015, at St. Vincent Home in Quincy.

She was born May 27, 1930, in Ipswich, S.D., a daughter of Leo and Theresa Schmidt Baer. She married Darrell Eugene Greenlee on Dec. 28, 1948, in Ipswich. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1986, in Quincy.

She also was preceded in death by her daughters, Linda Busen and Mary Ann Greenlee; granddaughters, Amber, Sandy and Sarah Royalty; brothers, Stan, Pete, Andrew “Sub” Baer, one infant brother; sisters, Ann Benfit and Joe, Josephine Cihak and Leo, Catherine Semmler and Ruben, Mary Uttenhove and Art, Veronica Gisi and Albert, Elizabeth Baer; and two infant sisters.

Surviving are her daughters, Teresa (and Randy) Toland of Rushville, Rose Ann (and James) Liesen of Quincy, Karen (and James) McCombs of Rushville, Darlene (and Randy) Royalty of Ursa, Connie (and Joe) Vermeire of Quincy; one brother, Leo “Jeep” (and Shirley) Baer; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Darrell and Rosina came to Rushville in 1963 to build the Rushville Farmer’s Grain and Livestock Company’s grain elevators. They established Greenlee Construction Company.

She was active in her church. She served as a trustee and secretary treasure of St. Rose Catholic Church. She was the director of summer Bible school, CCD coordinator and was president of Altar and Rosary Society.

She was involved with American Legion Auxiliary where she served on committees and was past president. She served as an election judge for years.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Rose Catholic Church in Rushville with Father Anthony Bernas officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with a prayer service held at the conclusion.
