Margaret L. Green, 89, of Macomb, formerly of Vermont and Table Grove areas, died at 5:15 p.m. Oct. 16, 2013, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Ray, a daughter of Arthur and Grace Guilliams Derry. She married Paul E. Green on Feb. 14, 1942, in Palmyra, Mo. He passed away on July 29, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorla Hayes of Industry and Sharon (and Lyle) Lewis of Mount Sterling; one son, Jerry (and Joyce) Green of Chandler, Ariz.; one sister, Doris (and Kenneth) Davidson of Canton; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She lived all of her life in Vermont and Table Grove areas before moving to Macomb. She worked for Blue Bell Inc. in Bushnell for 10 years and was a member of West Prairie Presbyterian Church since 1942.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Reverend Jeremy Westlake officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
