She was born Feb. 3, 1914, in Lewistown, a daughter of Harvey and Lavona Haines Chipman. She married James Wilmer Gilkerson on Aug. 19, 1933, in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1969.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda McKinley; one brother, Richard Chipman; and one sister, Carita Fales.
Surviving are one daughter, Judith (and Donald) Parkinson of Lewistown; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Lewistown First Presbyterian Church.
Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Danie deBeer officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
