Neal Gamm, 65, of Ipava died at 9:25 a.m. Nov. 16, 2012, at his home in Ipava.

He was born Oct. 25, 1947, in Canton, a son of Lloyd F. and Kathryn B. O'Malley Gamm.

Surviving are six brothers, Thomas (and Carol) Gamm of Bend, Ore., Brad (and Sheila) Gamm and David (and Mary) Gamm, both of Lake Ozark, Mo., Brian (and Debbie) Gamm of Brumley, Mo., Joe Gamm of High Point, N.C., and Greg (and Nicole) Gamm of Ulman, Mo.; three sisters, Teresa (and Dick) Strange and Margaret Gamm, both of Jefferson City, Mo., and Trisha O'Malley of California.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1967-69 attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant with the Battery C, 6th Battalion, 11th Artillery, 11th Infantry.

He worked at various jobs and was currently working at Fulton FS in Lewistown. Neal also was Governor of Forgottonia.

He was a member of Ipava Masonic Lodge, life member of VFW Post #1643 in Bend, Ore., and a member of Ipava American Legion Post #17.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 21 at Ipava United Presbyterian Church with Reverend Danie DeBeer officiating. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery with military rites provided by Ipava American Legion Post #17. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
