Stanko GrzanichStanko M. “Stan” Grzanich, 89, of Canton, formerly of Lewistown, died at 12:18 a.m. Sept. 27, 2010, at Sunset Manor.

He was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Dunfermline, a son of Charles Karlo and Vicencia Juraco Grzanich. He married Virginia Gallinger on May 15, 1948, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are one sister, Georgiana Intravartolo of Dunfermline; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters.

He was a World War II Army Airforce veteran, and a member and past commander of Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1.

He retired from International Harvester in Canton.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lewistown, Lewistown Optimist Club and Canton Moose Lodge.

Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Monsignor Robert O’Connor officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with military rites conducted by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and American Bishop Post 1.
