Vickie GroffVickie A. Groff, 65, of Ipava died at 6:40 p.m. Dec. 13, 2009, at home.

She was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Ottawa, a daughter of Archie W. and Maralyn Fouts Jennings. She married Tom Groff on Dec. 29, 1960. She later married John Hammond on June 22, 1996, in Ipava. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Beth (and Scott) Parry of Forsyth, Mont., and Amy (and Leon Wilcoxen) Emken of Canton; one stepdaughter, Ellen (and Jerry) Friday of Ipava; her mother, Maralyn Jennings of Lewistown; one stepson, Cale (and Jessica) Hammond of Ipava; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by her father; one twin brother, Archie Jennings; and one sister, Jeannie Nott.

She was a hairdresser in Ipava; a cook at the Milk Shed in Ipava, Ipava Café, Bobby B’s, The Cactus and Ipava American Legion Post #17.

She was a member of Ipava Christian Church.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Pastor Kevin Kessler officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home in Ipava. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery.
