She was born April 8, 1917, in Canton, a daughter of Ivan and Edna Dainty Seidell. She married Merriwell A. “Chuck” Goforth on Sept. 12, 1936. He died Nov. 4, 1984.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Neil Goforth.
Surviving are three sons, Kent (and Ronda) Goforth and Lyle Goforth, both of Lewistown and Mark (and Jan) Goforth of Simi Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Nina (and Robert) Smith and Lynn (and Jim) Munson, both of Lewistown; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She attended Browns Business College in Peoria.
She was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She volunteered for Spoon River Literacy Program and attended TOPS.
Services were held Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Ray Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
