Floyd GingerFloyd A. "Red" Ginger, 70, of Lewistown, died at 5:03 a.m. Dec. 8, 2006, at Graham Hospital Extended Care.

He was born June 28, 1936, in Ray, a son of Joseph and Ellen McKinley Ginger. He married Patsy Thrasher on Jan. 20, 1956, in Bryant. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Eddy (and Sandra) and Michael (and Marie), both of Lewistown; one daughter, Cindy (and Mike) Duvall of Springfield; two brothers, Joseph of Canton and Danny of Murphysboro, Tenn.; three sisters, Norma Edwards of Lewistown, Barbara Douglas of Canton and Phyllis Hogan of Madisonville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He owned and operated Red Ginger's Auto Body in Lewistown for many years before retiring.

He was a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church, Fulton County Genealogy Society, Alligators Club and the Bowling Congress Hall of Fame.

Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service with interment of ashes was held Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating.

Memorials may be made to Lewistown Rescue Squad.
