Nancy L. Gagola, 71, formerly of Ipava, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at Imperial Nursing Home in Chicago.
She was born June 11, 1932, in Springfield, the daughter of Henry Parry and Winifred Grace Justus Robinson. She married Joseph Gagola in 1968 in Springfield. He died Dec. 8, 1999.
Surviving is one brother, David (and Doris) Robinson of Springfield.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and the American Academy of Art in Chicago, she exhibited paintings at numerous art fairs in the Chicago and Springfield areas. She was a member of the West Suburban Art Association.
She was a schoolteacher in Chicago for many years and worked as a graphic artist for Arthur Anderson Co.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Damien Spikereit officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
