KAREN M. (TAYLOR) GROFF

Karen Groff

Karen M. Groff, 59, Destrehan, La., formerly of Peoria, died at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, La.

She was born Aug. 9, 1939, in Lewistown, a daughter of George and Irma Grabner Taylor. She married Gary Groff on July 29, 1972 in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Rochelle Waggoner of Pomona, Mo., Renee McSpadden of Hammond, La., and Denise Nelson of Anoka, Minn.; one son, Keith Clark of Washington; one sister, Yvonne Coltrin of Metamora; and nine grandchildren.

She was a deputy clerk at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Peoria, retiring in 1979. She was a secretary at various businesses in Destrehan.

Services were held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel with Rev. Arthur Baisch officiating. Burial was in the Ipava Cemetery.
