Rubye Mae Grimmer, 86, of Astoria, died at 2:05 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Sept. 14, 1912, in Ariton, Ala., a daughter of William W. and Martha Lou Annie Bachelor Wheeler.
Surviving are one daughter, Sara Jeane Young of Astoria; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
An accountant for 25 years, she retired in 1982. Prior to that, she worked in the school lunch program for the state of Alabama.
Graveside services were held this morning at Astoria Cemetery with Collis Trone officiating. Arrangements were by Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.
