Vernon Green, 91, of rural Rushville, formerly of Canton, died at 4:38 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born Nov. 6, 1905, in Orion Township, a son of John and Barbara Carlin Green.
Surviving are one sister, Bertha McWhorter of Canton, and several nieces and nephews. Wilma Herink of Vermont is a niece and Judy Wilson of Vermont is a great-niece.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
He farmed in Fulton County for many years. He worked for International Harvester Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1966. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 1357.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton, where visitation will be one hour before services. Rev. James Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
