Lucille Garner, 84, of Lewistown, died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 1996, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Sept. 15, 1911, in Macomb, a daughter of Charles H. and Nettie Mae (Chambers) Martindale. She married Frank L. Garner on Nov. 16, 1947, in Peoria. He survives.
She is also survived by two stepdaughters, Mrs. Donald (Joan) Hollars of St. Genevieve, Mo. and Carol Scherrer of St. Louis, Mo.; eight step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one infant sister.
She worked as a clerk in bakeries in Canton and Peoria. She was a graduate of Table Grove High School in 1931 and attended the Lewistown Nazarene Church.
Funeral services were held this morning at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava. Burial was in Howard Cemetery in Smithfield.
