Dorothy A. Grimmer, 83, of Astoria, died at 8:05 p.m. Friday, May 31, 1996, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Oct. 26, 1912, in LaBelle, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Mattie Green Puckett. She married Paul E. Grimmer on Oct. 4, 1943, in Macon, Ga. He died Jan. 16, 1983. One half brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was a retail clerk, last working at Oney’s in Havana.
Graveside services were held Monday at Summum Cemetery in Summum with Gary Sheets officiating.
Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
