Dean R. Gentle, 34, of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Rushville, died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 1996, at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City.
He was born Aug. 26, 1961, in Rushville, the son of Rodney and Barbara Rebman Gentle. He married Lori Prather July 24, 1983 in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Addie Rae Gentle at home; his parents, Elvis and Barbara Wilson of Houston, Texas and Rod Gentle of Beardstown; one sister, Tanya Kerns of Irving, Texas; his grandmother, Rachel Rebman of Rushville; one stepsister, Jennifer Wilson of Irving, Texas; two stepbrothers, David Wilson of Irving, Texas and Shannon Wilson, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He worked as a printer for Publishers Press in Salt Lake City. He was a loving and caring husband, father and son. He loved to hunt, fish and snow ski in the Utah Mountains. He also enjoyed sky diving.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Robert Belew officiating. Burial will be in the Rushville City Cemetery.
