Robert O. Gore Of Bushnell Dies

Robert O. Gore, 76, of 395 W. Hurst St., Bushnell, died at 7:24 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 1990, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born June 18, 1913, near Havana, a son of Orville A. and Dollie Edlin Gore. He married Eldora Wrestler on June 8, 1940, in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Robert L., and one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Sherry) Ahern, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Mr. Gore was a comptroller for L. E. Myers Electrical Construction Co. in Chicago where he served the Eastern United States and Canada. He retired in 1973 and moved to Bushnell where he and his wife owned and operated two stores, Something Special and Something Extra Special.

He was a member of Havana Masonic Lodge, Peoria Consistory and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Bishop George Fenstermacher officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Cemetery near Summum.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
