Fairy N. Gragg, 85, of Myers Nursing Home in Beardstown, died at 8:37 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 1986, at the Home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1900 in Schuyler County, a daughter of John R. and Blanche Herron Strong. She married Edward Gragg March 24, 1920, in Vermont. He died Dec. 25, 1971.
Surviving are one son, Teddy Gragg of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Mary Kathryn Barker of Rushville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Armel and Alleyne McDougall, both of Rushville, Gladys Williams of Beardstown and Geneva Carey of St. Petersburg, Fla.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Doris Irene, and three brothers.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Marvin Chalfant officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian of Rushville, which she attended.
