VeteranAnsel G. Geer Dies At Age 73

Ansel G. Geer, 73, of Rushville, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 1980, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 26, 1906, in Browning Twp., Schuyler County, the son of Homer and Lousetta Walton Geer. He owned and operated the Geer and Morrell Garage in Rushville for many years. He was an Army veteran of WW II and a charter member of the Rushville Moose Lodge 506.

Surviving are one son, Carl H. of North Ft. Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Roasalie Woodruff of Crane, Mo., and Mrs. Georgia Morrell of Rushville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Francis; an infant son, Marion; one brother, Clyde; and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Toells.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home, with Rev. Evan Williams officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
