Mrs. Etta M. Gruber, 82, of 1053 Florence Ave., Galesburg, died Tuesday morning, March 16, in American Nursing Center.
She was born on Oct. 13, 1887 at Astoria and had lived at Galesburg for 58 years. She married Frank Gruber on Dec. 31, 1906 at Astoria. He died in 1962.
She attended Astoria schools and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Miss Vernice Trone, who made her home with Mrs. Gruber for 50 years.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the home at 1053 Florence Ave. with Dr. Joseph Hoffman of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Linwood Cemetery.
