D. Zook Goode Dies In Hospital

D. Zook Goode, 62, of 508 E. Grant St., Macomb, died at 5:54 p.m. Sunday in McDonough District Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 11. He was an agent for the Mutual of Omaha insurance company.

Mr. and Mrs. Goode are former Astoria residents.

Mr. Goode was born May 5, 1907, in Bloomfield, Iowa, a son of Lewis E. and Rosie Goode. He married Zelda Billingsley on July 2, 1946. He resided in Bloomfield for several years, in Springfield, Mo., for eight years, and in Astoria from 1956 to 1960, when he moved to Macomb.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert D. Goode; a daughter, Roberta Mass of Davenport, Iowa; four grandchildren; four brothers, Dewey Goode, Doran Goode, and Dean Goode, all of Bloomfield, and DeWitt Goode of Bondurant, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Dessie Shields of Bloomfield and Mrs. Dimple Campbell of Sevastapol, Calif.

A brother, Dimer, and a sister, Mrs. Dortha Peters, died previously.

Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Clugston Funeral Chapel in Macomb with Rev. Joseph Peters of Virden officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.
