Mrs. Hattie Green, 83, lifetime resident of the Astoria area, died early this morning in the Mason District Hospital in Havana. She had been in failing health for the past several years.
Mrs. Green was born in Astoria on July 18, 1877, a daughter of Henry W. and Columbia Defenbaugh Baker. She was married to George Green on Nov. 12, 1901. He preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1957.
Mrs. Green was a member of the Astoria Methodist church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with the Rev. Ronald Bula officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria cemetery.
Friends may call at the Memorial Home after noon Thursday until the hour of services.
