VeteranChicagoan Drowns Near Havana; Inquest Held

An inquest was held at Havana Monday by Coroner Neiderer into the death of Adelbert Guello, Chicago, who was drowned Monday evening in a drainage ditch four miles west of Havana.

Physicians who examined the body stated that Guello had apparently been seized with cramps.

The Chicagoan, a World War veteran was swimming in the drainage ditch with Ray Hampton and W. M. Masten when the tragedy occurred. He went down in six feet of water and in the dusk it was several minutes before his companions could recover his body.

The pulmotor was used in the an effort to revive the man but it was used without avail.
