JENNIE (GANSON) GROAT

Mrs. Cress Groat

LEWISTOWN — Late Friday afternoon a telegram was received from Rochester, Minn., announcing that Mrs. Cress V. Groat had died at noon. The remains were brought to Lewistown Sunday on the 10:30 train. The daughter, Mrs. Marie Howerter, accompanied the remains home. Mrs. Groat went to Rochester Tuesday afternoon, accompanied by her daughter and it was expected that she would undergo an operation for cancer before her return home. It was not generally thought her condition was serious enough to cause any undue anxiety. When the message came announcing that she had passed away it caused not only surprise but general regret.
