Calvin Gross was born in York Co., Pennsylvania, April 22, 1879, and died in Fulton Co., Illinois, Oct. 8, 1910; at the age of thirty-one years five months and sixteen days.
He was united in Holy Matrimony, to Miss Ellen Emig, of Astoria, Ill., at Lewistown, by Justice J. F. Arundale, on the 26th day of Sept. 1901.
To this union were born two children: Earl Dewitt Gross, and Chester Paul Gross.
Besides wife and children he leaves three brothers and one sister with many friends and loved ones to mourn his loss.
He and his wife united with the Church of the Brethren in June 1907. since then they have lived faithful consistent members.
The funeral was held at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, at the residence of Mrs. Gross’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Emig, conducted by Ralph Stambaugh.
Interment in the Woodland cemetery.
