Marie FultonMarie Lopez Fulton died Sept. 7, 2024, at 10:45 p.m. After a long battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Trivoli.

She was born Feb. 20, 1951, in Jennings, La., a daughter of Wilbert and Mildred Broussard Lopez.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Bruce Allan Fulton; three children, Rachel (and Jody) Ogea of Texas, Nicolle Marie (and Lance) Brooks of Bushnell and Scott Fulton of Ipava; her siblings, Clifford (and Becky) Gillespie, Cathy Kendall, Steve (and Eva) Lopez, Jimmy (and Liz) Lopez and Diana (and Arnold) Bouley, all from the state of Louisiana; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was a Respiratory Therapist for over 40 years, serving in Canton and Havana areas, and in Louisiana throughout her career.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will follow the services at Shields Chapel Cemetery.
