He was born Aug. 31, 1954, in Canton, a son of Jack and Leona Taylor Ford. He married Kathy Hilton on Dec. 28, 1978, in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are 11 children, Heidi (and Tim) Dowell of East Peoria, Tiffanie (and Dennis) Clark, Terie Nieukirk, Tami (and Damon) McCombs, Brandon (and Mica) Ford, Ricky (and Savanna Reed) Ford and Jessica (and Justin Jansen) Ford, all of Cuba, Brandon (and Becky) Nieukirk of Indiana, Jerry (and Andrea) Ford and Amber (and Ryan) Nolan, both of Lewistown and Erika Ford of Peoria; four brothers, Jerry (and Jennifer) Ford of Tennessee, Jack Ford of Lewistown, Jim Ford of Bushnell and Jasper (and Kim) Ford of Bushnell; one sister, Viva (and Butch) Stambaugh of Cuba; and 25 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John Ford.
He retired from Caterpillar after 32 and one-half years. He was co-owner of the Ford Memorial Park Pavilion.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation.
