James C. Fell, 84, of Vermont died March 16, 2019, in Davenport, Fla.James C. Fell, 84, of Vermont died March 16, 2019, in Davenport, Fla.
He was born Jan. 24, 1935, in Rock Falls, a son of Herbert and Florence Wells Fell. He married Nelda Malott on June 28, 1975, in Park Forest. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Dr. Kathryn Fell of Davenport, Fla.; two sons, Michael Fell and David (and Jackie) Fell, both of Aurora; one brother, Bob (and Judy) Fell of Rock Falls; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Don Fell.
Jim, along with Mark Potter, were owner/operators of Murphy and Dickey Company in Hindsdale for 40 years.
He was a member of Instrument Society of America and Vermont Christian Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Cody Stinnett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Cremation rites have been accorded.
