George FetchGeorge Wayne Fetch, 85, of Quincy, formerly of Rushville, died at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8, 2013, at Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy.

He was born Aug. 13, 1928, in Camden, the son of William Roy and Nellie Mae Allen Fetch.

Surviving are distant cousins.

After attending Gem City Business College, he worked at Berry’s Ajax Hatchery in Quincy.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his military service, he worked for a wholesale department store company as a traveling salesman.

He was a member of National Rifle Association.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at McHatton Cemetery east of Camden with Mr. David Haney officiating. Military services were conducted by U.S. Army Honors Detail and Schuyler American Legion Post #4. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
