LAVADA M. (HAGEY) FREEMAN

LaVada Freeman

LaVada M. Freeman, 85, of Lewistown died at 10:25 p.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at Cook County North Shore Hospital in Grand Marais, Minn.

She was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Peoria, the daughter of Gilford and Grace Tapp Hagey. She married Clifford Freeman in Lewistown. He died May 14, 1982.

She also was preceded in death by one son, William Robert Freeman.

Surviving are one daughter, Norma Prosser of Grand Marais, Minn.; two brothers, Gilford (and Mick) Hagey and LaVern Hagey, both of East Peoria; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown, and the Go Go Girls coffee club.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Ray Greenfield officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home.
