She was born June 15, 1940, in Virginia, Ill., a daughter of George and Florence Davis Sweeten. She married Harold Robert Friday on June 18, 1957, in Frederick. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Lonnie Friday and Richard (and Brenda) Friday, both of Rushville; two daughters, Vicky Surratt and Brenda Friday, both of Rushville; one brother, Charles Sweeten of Roodhouse; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Robert and Robert Eugene Friday; three brothers, Ralph Sweeten, Lester Sweeten and George Sweeten Jr.; and one sister, Betty Thomas.
She was a homemaker and cleaned homes.
She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Rushville.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor David Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Ripley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
