Edwin FraikesEdwin FraikesEdwin Keith Fraikes, 70, of Lewistown died at 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born Dec. 26, 1935, in Lewistown, the son of Lucien E. and Vera L. Lynch Fraikes. He married Jane Grove on Sept. 27, 1957, in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Randall K. Fraikes of Lewistown; and one sister, Eleanor (and Roland) Myers of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Lyons.
He served 36 years with the 182nd Air Force Reserves in Peoria before retiring in 1990. He was a member of Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1.
He was a member of Crossroads Free Methodist Church in Lewistown.
A private family graveside service will be held Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Rev. Martin Janicke officiating. Military rites will be accorded by his Legion Post and Lewistown VFW Post 5001. There will be no visitation. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.
