Marie Fouts, 92, of Clayberg Fulton County Nursing Home in Cuba, formerly of Lewistown, died at 2:47 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born July 31, 1911, in Summum, a daughter of Harley O. and Emma Derry Ward. She married Howard Fouts on April 6, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. He died April 3, 1999.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Candy Kitchen for many years.
She was a member of Lewistown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5001 Auxiliary.
Services were held Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
