Charles Steven Fritz, 50, of Astoria, formerly of Beardstown, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, in Beardstown.
He was born Sept. 26, 1951, in Beardstown, a son of Homer Charles and Betty Louise Coil Fritz.
Surviving are two brothers, Fred (and Judy) of Carlinville and James (and Joann) of Beardstown; three sisters, Judith (and Milton) Bailey and Beverly (and James) Morton, both of Heber Springs, Ark., and Linda (and Bill) Fisher of Beardstown; one stepsister, Bettigail (and Bill) Dyche of Beardstown; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
He had attended Western Illinois University in Macomb and Spoon River College.
He worked at the Astoria American Legion Post.
He was a member of Havana Tuesday Night Bowling League.
Services were held Monday at Beardstown Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Bill Couchenour officiating. Burial was in Beardstown City Cemetery. Sager Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
