JUDY L. (SHORT) FRAKES

Judy Frakes

Judy L. Frakes, 59, of Macomb, died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born May 17, 1940, in Vermont, a daughter of Charlie and Carol Tingley Short.

Surviving are her stepmother, Helen Coulter of Mena, Ark.; two daughters, Carol Cobb of Macomb and Sandy Twidwell of Plymouth; one brother, Kermit Short of Sciota; three sisters, Eleanor Roberts of Tennessee, Ill., Charlene Schroeder of Juneau, Ala., and Darlene Kechley of Helena, Mont.; three grandchildren; and Victor Setser of Macomb, with whom she made her home.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She worked at King Seely Thermos for a short time and then worked for Haeger Lamp in Macomb for 14 years. She was then club manager and bartender of Macomb Veterans of Foreign Wars for more than 15 years.

She was a life member of the Macomb Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Graveside services were held today in Vermont Cemetery with Rev. Ron Green officiating. The family will meet with friends at the Macomb Veterans of Foreign Wars after the services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
