Thelma A. Franklin, 83, of Macomb, died at 11:36 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 1997, at Sprucewood Healthcare Center.
She was born Aug. 17, 1913, in Vermont, a daughter of Harry and Lottie Dean Gamill. She married Ralph R. Franklin on Nov. 26, 1931, in Mount Sterling. He died April 4, 1974. Two sons, Robert and Ralph, two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four daughters, Marie Pfleiger of Colchester, Rosetta Lee Davis of Milan, Karen Brown of Avon, and Eleanor Kline of Mansfield, Texas; two sisters, Hazel Simpson of Kahoka, Mo., and Beaulah Hamm of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Since 1953, she lived in Macomb, where she was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
Services were held Monday at her church with Rev. Richard Pricco officiating. Burial was in Mount Stering Catholic Cemetery. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
