Clarice L. Fletcher, 80, of Peoria Heights, died at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at Proctor Hospital.
She was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Bader, a daughter of Grover and Dolla M. Stauffer Venters. She married J. Floyd Fletcher on July 20, 1937, in Kahoka, Mo. He died April 30, 1987, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving are four sons, James R. Fletcher of Peoria, Dale E. Fletcher of Chillicothe, Gordon L. Fletcher of Metamora, and Michael A. Fletcher of Denver; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Raymond Venters of St. Louis.
She and her husband owned and operated Fletcher and Company Realtors in Peoria. She was a member of the Peoria Heights Suburban Lionesses and a member of Peoria Heights Congregational Church.
Funeral services were held Monday at Wilton Mortuary with Rev. Allen J. Dempsey officiating. Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
