Clifford O. France, 91, of Canton, died at 9:07 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 1996, at Graham Hospital.
He was born Jan. 28, 1905, in Table Grove, the son of Kersey and Amanda McKinsey France. He married Wilma L. Vandament on Jan. 19, 1940, in Palmyra, Mo. She died July 2, 1996. He was also preceded in death by one son, Clifford Wayne France, and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, Larry France of Peoria; one daughter, Melba France of Canton; and two sisters, Florine Thorman of Prairie City and Clara France of Macomb.
He was a checker at International Harvester for 33 years, retiring in 1973. He graduated from Western Illinois University. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Funeral church were held Saturday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
