Mrs. Vernice H. Faust, 92, of 1053 Florence Ave., Galesburg, died at 12:04 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 1990, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Galesburg.
She was born Feb. 13, 1898, in Astoria, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Trone. She married Charles S. Faust in Galesburg on Feb. 14, 1974. He died July 2, 1988.
One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two stepsons, James Faust of Hoffman Estates and Allan Faust of Orion; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Harold (Virginia) Griffiths of Galesburg and Mrs. Gene (Margaret) Mueller of Sevierville, Tenn.; 10 step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
She worked as a retail clerk for several local department stores for 53 years.
She was an active member of East Main Congregational United Church of Christ and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Galesburg where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon with Rev. Betty Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
