VeteranRalph M. Foster Dies In Peoria

Ralph M. Foster, 62, of 3544 N. Finnell, Peoria, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 1990, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Macomb, a son of Bernard and Marguerite Walsh Foster. He married Shirley Nunn on Oct. 16, 1948, in Ipava. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Table Grove; two daughters, Margaret Elaine Mustard and Mrs. Ronald (Lynnette) Sparks, both of Peoria; two sisters, Mrs. Willis (Carolyn) Altenhein of Quincy and Marlene Allen of Kuttawa, Ky.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He was employed by Advance Mill Work for 24 years, retiring as an office manager in 1988. He was a member of the Richwoods Township Volunteer Fire Dept. for 14 years.

He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and was a member of the Grandview Lodge No. 1112 AF&AM. He also was a member of the Table Grove Community Church.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Swan Lake Memory Gardens with Rev. Bruce Melton officiating. Wilton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
