VeteranJohn Wesley Frise, 90, Dies Tuesday

John Wesley Frise was born in New Michigan, Mich., Feb. 15, 1870, a son of Morita (Farmer) Frise and John Frise.

He is survived by a grandson, Raymond Frise, with whom he had made his home the past 24 years; and a step-son, F. J. Halsey of Nebo, Ill.

Mr. Frise belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 784 of Canton, being a member since that lodge was organized.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Witham) Frise who died July 25, 1925. Two sisters also preceded him.

Mr. Frise lived a number of years in Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. While a young man living at Wymore, Nebr., he served with Co. A of the Light Artillery during the last days of the Indian Uprisings. He was employed for a member of years with the B. & M., the Rock Island and the C. B. & Q. Railroads.

Funerals services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Shawgo Memorial Home with Rev. Forrest Wise officiating. Burial in Liverpool cemetery. Friends may call at the Shawgo Memorial Home until the hour of service.
