Charles Edward Foster, a lifetime Vermont farmer, died Sunday afternoon in the St. Francis hospital, Macomb, where he had been a patient for two weeks.
Born near Vermont, Feb. 10, 1876, a son of Edward Benjamin and Lozerba (Fry) Foster, he was married in Macomb on Oct. 14, 1897 to Alice Adams, who survives.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Lola Trautman of Davenport, Iowa, Miss Vernice Foster and Marcus Foster of Vermont, and Leland Foster of Adair; five grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Snowden and Mrs. Annie Sears of Vermont, Mrs. Daisy Robinson of Macomb, Mrs. Dora Sears of Ipava and Mrs. Alma Easley of Knoxville, and a brother, Harold Foster of Industry.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock this afternoon in the Vermont Methodist church. Burial in Chockley cemetery.
