J. G. Fouts Died Oct. 23

IPAVA — J. G. Fouts, formerly of Ipava, but for the past few years a resident of Lewistown, died at the Graham hospital, Canton, Oct. 23. He had been a patient there one week.

James Grant Fouts was born in Ellisville, Ill., March 27, 1866. He was first married in Iowa and has two daughters living by his first marriage. His second marriage was to Alice Young, who survives, with three children, Gilbert and Paul Fouts and Mrs. Phillip Crabtree. There are seven grandchildren by the second marriage. Mr. Fouts has four brothers living.

For many years Mr. Fouts was a Methodist minister and at one time pastor of the Ipava church besides other churches and while a resident of Ipava, he began his barber trade and later he and his family moved to Lewistown where he followed his trade until his final illness.

The body was brought to Ipava where the funeral services were held in the Ipava Methodist church Wednesday and services held at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. Edward Fergerson of the Church of the Nazarene of Eureka. G. E. Fisk and Wm. Schisler accompanied the body to Shelby, Iowa, for burial.
