Mrs. James Fackler died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Diehl, following an illness of long duration, aged 86 years, 9 months and 29 days. The aged woman was for more than a year bed-fast.
Julia Elizabeth Downing was born May 7, 1841 in Monongaheia, Pa. She is survived by the following children: Emory Fackler, Atlantic, Iowa, Samuel Fackler, Moline, William Fackler, Loyd, Wis., Mrs. A. J. Hughes, Monmouth, Mrs. Lorenza Knudsen, Minn., and Mrs. Chas. Diehl, Ipava.
Funeral services will be held in Astoria, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. T. S. Mitchell. Interment in Astoria cemetery.
