Aged Lady Dead

Mrs. Hortensia Foutch Died Sunday At The Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. Lafe Salisbury. Funeral Tuesday.

Hortensia Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Doras Martin, was born in Kerton township, June 16, 1853 and departed this life, March 28, 1920, aged 67 years, 9 months and 12 days.

The deceased was united in marriage to George W. Martin, Sept. 11, 1872 at Havana. To this union was born three children, two of them dying in infancy and Mrs. Daisy Salisbury of Astoria surviving. Her husband passed away in 1878.

On June 27, 1881, she was united to F. M. Foutch at Lewistown. Her second husband died Feb. 12, 1909.

Mrs. Foutch was of a loving disposition and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Salisbury, she leaves to mourn her death, one sister, Mrs. Malinda Foutch of Vermont, one brother, Manning Martin of Havana. At the time of her death she was making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Salisbury.

Funeral services were held at the U. B. church Tuesday at 2 o’clock p.m., conducted by Rev. J. E. Fry. Interment in the Astoria cemetery.
