George Furnace

Died, at his residence in Astoria Monday, Sept. 4, 1893, George A. Furnace, aged twenty-five years, seven months and eight days.

Mr. Furnace was born in Schuyler county, January 26, 1868, and on Thanksgiving day 1890, was married to Miss Ida Dupee. This union was blessed with two children, who with the wife are left to mourn their sad loss.

His death was caused from a complication of diseases terminating with typhoid fever, and although the best medical skill obtainable was obtained the disease proved fatal. He was a good citizen and christian, having joined the United Brethren church two years ago, and has ever since lived a conscientious christian life. The funeral services were held at the Oak Grove Chapel, Sept. 5th, at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Willstead, after which the remains were interred in the cemetery near by.
