She was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Camden, a daughter of George and Beulah Gabbert Richardson. She married Maurice Estes on Dec. 24, 1943, in Mount Sterling. He preceded her in death in June, 1989.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Gary Estes; one sister, Mildred Cox; and two granddaughters, Lisa Estes and Tammy Hoffman.
Surviving are six children, Steve (and Shannon) Estes of Oak Hill, Fla., Pam Bennett of Pittsfield, Debbie (and Ronny) Jones of Virginia, Terri (and Steve) Pritchett of Athol, Idaho, Monti (and Laura) Estes of Michigan and Marti (and Pam) Estes of Terrell, Texas; one sister, Ivagene Quinn of Cooperstown; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Rushville High School. For many years she worked as a clerk at the JC Penney store in Rushville. She later worked for Schuy Labs.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Rushville City Cemetery with Pastor Stacy Tomich officiating. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
