Carroll Eddy-BeloitCarroll Lea (May) Eddy-Beloit, 73, died June 8, 2015, at the William Child’s Hospice House in Palm Bay, Fla., after a long battle with cancer. She was formerly of Canton.

She was born June 21, 1941, in Canton, a daughter of James and Lillian Nelson May. She married Philip Beloit on May 23, 1970. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: Toni (and Mike) Sweeney of Palm Bay Fla.; Randy (and Donna) Eddy of Farmington and Scott Eddy of Canton; one brother, Ira (and Mary) May, one half-sister, Charlotte (and James) Ackerman; five grandchildren; one step grandchild; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one half-sister, Beverly North; one infant son, Kevin; and first husband, Ronald Eddy.

She and her husband, Phil, moved to Florida in May, 2012, to live with their daughter and son-in-law. She retired from the Fulton County Courthouse as a switchboard operator working from 1995 to 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Bill Walder officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the memorial home.
