Sophie Marie Edmiston, 0, of Astoria died stillborn at 11:07 a.m. March 7, 2014, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. She is the daughter of Terry and Sabrina (Turner) Edmiston of Astoria.
Surviving are her parents; one brother, Boaz Edmiston at home; maternal grandparents, Gary and Joyce Turner of Smithfield; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Barbara Edmiston of Astoria; and maternal great-grandmother, Vera Turner of Cuba.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Betty Edmiston; maternal great-grandparents, Richard Turner and Carroll and Betty Evans; and paternal great-grandparents, Russell and Alta Edmiston and Red and Erma Palmer.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ken Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Astoria at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Duke University NTD Research Fund or OB Department at McDonough District Hospital.
