He was born Jan. 25, 1941, in Douglas County, a son of Golden and Gertie Madewell Edwards. He married June Elaine Ziehr on March 11, 1962, in Dwight. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Janet (and Dale) Detrick, Jackie Gilson (and Jeff Dowson) and Jennie (and Rob) Mulder, all of Rushville; one sister, Ruth (and Robert) Farrell of Dwight; three brothers, Hollis Edwards of Kempton, Bill (and Sharon) Edwards of Rushville and Tom (and Peg) Edwards of Macon, Mo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Raegan Lee Farr; five brothers; and three sisters.
He farmed with Charles "Bud" Briney in Sheldons Grove and with Orley Shaw in Bluff City.
He worked at Fulton County FS in Lewistown and was caretaker of the Long Lake Duck Club in Browning.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
